Nature and Beaches

Little more than half an hour's trip from the Gold Coast you will find a great diversity of national parks with waterfalls, bush tracks, caves, glow worms, and wonderful wildlife. Being one of the most biologically diverse regions in Australia, the Hinterland's densely forested McPherson Range is home to a host of beautiful wildlife and tropical plant species. From Tamborine Mountain in the north to Lamington and Springbrook National Parks in the south, the Gold Coast's Hinterland offers spectacular views and natural wonders. The regions National Parks are a paradise for walkers with well maintained tracks and plenty of interpretive information throughout the parks. We recommend Springbrook, Natural Bridge, Mt Tamborine and North Stradbroke Island as the best spots for nature experiences. For tours to get you there, talk to our reception staff.

The Gold Coast is home to some of the most attractive beaches in the country and is famous for some of its world class surf points. Whether it's for stroll at sunset, a relaxing swim, splashing in the sea with family, beach fishing at dusk, an adventure packed scuba dive or even if it's to take on the swell with your board, the Gold Coast's numerous beaches are famous for their pristine, warm blue waters and clean golden sand. The most popular of the 21 patrolled beaches on the Gold Coast include Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Mermaid Beach, Miami & Nobby Beach. For family enjoyment, we recommend Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and, if you want safer waters, Tallebudgera Creek.  For top surf spots, check out Burleigh Heads, Duranbah, and Snapper Rock
